Mike Gilkes

Mike Gilkes is a Vice President on the Oceans Investment team. In his role, Mike focuses on the origination, evaluation and execution of investments in the blue economy, along with portfolio company support and development. Mike has more than 12 years of experience across venture capital and investment banking. Before joining S2G Ventures, Mike was a Managing Director at Cleveland Avenue where he focused on the execution of investments in food, agriculture and consumer-related technologies. Prior to that role, Mike was a Director in Baird’s Global Consumer Investment Banking Group, where he provided sell- and buy-side M&A advisory for publicly held, private equity-backed and family owned companies in the food & beverage and consumer products sectors. Mike graduated from the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Finance.
