We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new podcast, Where We Grow From Here.
Where We Grow From Here offers perspectives and stories focused on innovation by those who are advancing the overall quality and sustainability of the food system. Featured guests include entrepreneurs, business leaders, industry experts, and policymakers offering unique perspectives on building a food system designed for the 21st century and beyond.
Our first episode features Walter Robb, former co-CEO at Whole Foods and Executive-in-Residence at S2G Ventures and Sam Polk, co-founder and CEO of Everytable. Walter connected with Sam to talk in-depth about the pivots Everytable is making to support their community, employees, and the viability of the business during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
Episode two features Corwin Heatwole, Founder and CEO of Shenandoah Valley Organic — makers of Farmer Focus the premier provider of high-quality organic poultry. Corwin shares with us his journey in founding SVO, the importance of partnering with farmers, the core cultural values he’s instilled into the business, and how these values have helped guide the company through these challenging times during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Episode three features Andrey Zarur, founder and CEO of GreenLight Biosciences, and the other is Charlie Cooney, a biotech pioneer and Professor of Chemical Engineering at MIT. Andrey and Charlie will talk about the potential for RNA to combat COVID-19, as well as it’s incredible potential with a host of other applications in human, plant, and animal health.
In future episodes, we will feature a range of guests from the smallest food startups to established food companies, multinational investment firms as well as farmers who are in the field. Our aim is to spur deeper conversations by bringing together a variety of viewpoints on topics impacting our food system.
We hope by sharing these insights with you through our new podcast that you will be inspired to join us in the journey towards a better food system. Where We Grow From Here is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, and Google Play.
