Autonomous farming begins with collaborative farm robots

Burro is a collaborative robot designed to help people work more productively while building the necessary database to automate where it is most needed. By automating the most tedious elements of farm work, Burro is leading the charge to enable farmers to make operational efficiencies and facilitate growth.

We see soil. Differently

At EarthOptics, we see soil. Differently. EarthOptics is an agricultural technology company developing next-generation soil-sensing technologies that give growers revolutionary insights into the physical characteristics of their soil. Our team has diverse backgrounds in engineering, software development, geospatial analytics, data science, machine learning and logistics and operations. We believe that below-ground precision and innovation in the soil space is long overdue. Our ultimate goal is to deliver point-of-care soil health insights – related to physical, chemical, and biological attributes of soil – in real-time.

Our initial product centered on prescriptive tillage, residue management, and quantifying whole-field organic matter content; TillMapper™, our flagship compaction mapping product, is a soil mapping system that measures agricultural compaction down to a depth of 18 inches. Using our proprietary software interface, growers can make adjustments based on their tillage preferences and export a finalized tillage prescription that meets their needs.

Our second product, CMapper, is a high-resolution carbon and organic content mapping system. CMapper maps relies on the same patented technology that we used to construct TillMapper, namely the fusion of in-situ measurements with remote sensor data and machine learning to map soil attributes better, faster, and cheaper than ever before.

In support of our TillMapper and CMapper products, the GroundOwl™ is a multi-modal, electromagnetic soil density measurement system, designed specifically to capture mapping data for agricultural applications. The GroundOwl, which is scheduled to enter large scale production in 2022, is mountable on a side-by-side, quad, or tractor system for fast, efficient data collection. It will also feature fully-integrated, real-time functionality when operated with supported tractor and tillage systems, providing the world’s first, fully closed-loop compaction mapping and remediation system.

Finally, the EO Soil Cloud is a growing database of physical, chemical, and biological soil data combined with novel remote-sensing data collected from our GroundOwl system. Soil Cloud has already borne fruit, producing new insights into calibrating compaction measurements for moisture, producing better understanding of similar growing regions in the US, and informing best practices for cross-field analytics.

Increase shelf life and decrease waste

Hazel products create more time for the fresh produce supply chain to move, sell and consume better produce. Through a portfolio of innovative, chemistry-based, technologies, Hazel extends produce quality, minimizes risk of decay through transit, and empowers its customers to increase profitability while reducing waste.

Precision Agriculture For Indoor Growing

IUNU is transforming the way growers do business by harnessing the power of computer vision through its product offering, LUNA. The LUNA technology platform delivers a system of mobile and fixed cameras with high definition imaging and environmental sensors that measure and record everything down to the real-time growth rate of each plant.

IUNU’s system gives growers the information they need to get ahead of the curve. By putting the plant at the center of everything we do, IUNU has delivered a solution that makes greenhouse growing a precise and predictable, data-driven, manufacturing operation.

Ag analytics powered by machine learning

Sentera sits at the headwaters of the food and agriculture value stream. Uniquely, the company has created and de-risked the best means to deploy digital insights– at scale, at the farm gate, at retail, in the enterprise, and downstream. The company has proven scalability, with hundreds of terabytes of data under management, 35+ million images processed, and thousands of daily users.

Bringing Nature Indoors

Soli Organic is passionate about a future of food that is organic, sustainable, and affordable for everyone. The company is the leading grower and marketer of fresh organic culinary herbs in the United States and is committed to delivering exceptional organic produce at an affordable price, year-round.

The company’s proprietary, soil-based controlled environment system enables it to deliver on the full promise of indoor agriculture. Its use of soil has enabled Soli Organic to achieve very low unit costs for organic herbs and leafy greens, rivaling most outdoor field production and considerably lower than other indoor –and non-organic –agriculture companies. Its organic production system, water-and energy-efficient technologies, and strategic farm locations support a best-in-class sustainability profile.

With seven growing locations across the country, including several next generation growing facilities, Soli Organic is proud to provide fresh, flavorful, organic produce to over 20,000 retail locations every day.

Unleashing the natural power of plants

Sound Agriculture is improving how we farm and what we eat by unlocking the natural power of plants to help agriculture adapt faster and become more resilient.

The company's flagship product, SOURCE, uses patented technology to activate soil microbes that unlock existing nitrogen and phosphorus, replacing 25 lbs of nitrogen and phosphorus per acre without impacting production. SOURCE optimizes nutrient use efficiency by giving crops access to more nutrients when they need them, improving plant and soil health.

On-Demand Breeding creates custom crop varieties 10 times faster than current methods without changing the plant's DNA. The non-GMO process tunes gene expression using epigenetics to improve flavor, appearance, size and agronomic traits. The Summer Swell tomato is the first commercial product, offering a new slicing variety with superior taste, extended peak flavor and increased durability, supporting a reduction in food waste and a more enjoyable eating experience.
